Right now on Tribble, Romulans get their own uniforms and when they pick a side they get some more uniform choices that may have influences from Fed or KDF uniforms, but are still very much Romulan in design.

When you get to Admiral level, you can start doing STFs to grind Omega rep and buy sets. Each set has a costume you can buy with it as well. Will the Romulans be using the existing set costumes or could we (pretty please) have some more Romulan looking costumes.

It just doesn't look right having a member of the Romulan Republic running around in a chrome spacesuit and they just don't have the ridges for all that fur the Klingons wear.

Cryptic prefers to release information about upcoming items in blogs. Info on uniforms will probably be in a uniform blog at some point. There's still almost 4 weeks before LoR goes live.
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

Huh, I was actually expecting a bit more info than what they gave us. I thought they would discuss fed and KDF romulan uniforms as well. Still nothing on if there's new stf costumes, which I do hope there will be.

So now that ROMs will be playable, will they get their own STF set? They would obviously have access to the Omega Set, but will they get their own unique one?

Smart money says they get the set of their chosen ally.

I figured Romulans would be sharing the STF sets of their ally, since it seems like it would fit in with the allying deal. You could even say a Romulan joining Omega Faroce is doing so on behalf of or sponsored by Fed or KDF since those two made the group in the first place.

Still Romulans have costumes that take aesthetic cues from both Romulan and the faction they allied with, hence my wondering if there will be a couple extra costume pieces that are udoubtably MACO or KHG but have some romulan aesthetics mixed in for Romulan players to wear.

For instance, MACO would still have the same silver pajamas but maybe a less shiney option on the color pallet, a slightly different chest plate, or romulan style shoulder pads (Romulans like 'em padded and pointy)

I would love to see the Romulans with their own set of unique STF gear. Something like this would be cool.

That looks cool.

Change the visor colour to a green.

I like it exept for the slope of the shoulders. Romulan aesthetics seems to like flat, padded shoulders with a sharp angle into the arms.
