World of ******** uses Queues. They also use jillions of servers. This game is a supposed to be Instanced with enough stuff for EVERYONE who wants to play to log in - get more machines and chuck this Queue! This is utterly ridiculous and I haven't really complained much these last few days but to say the servers are full?!?
I don't want to complain, but it is getting a little frustrating to be disconnected when moving from one leg of a mission to the next, to then be disconnected and told you are 922/922 in queue, after simply zoning.
Really, this is not acceptable. I can understand the downtimes because this is technical and contingency matters. But queuing people who pay to play is simply NOT tolerable. Just rent servers if you don't want to invest on platforms that will be useless after several months. People pay a membership so you have the money to do it.
Thing is, as much as I dislike queing - does it not beat being unable to access at all? Besides, I imagine Cryptic are probably waiting till the end of the week for more servers, letl launch happen en-mass, see how much you really need, then buy.
While I can appreciate a que system, I also must say I can only appreciate a reasonable one. After purchasing the pre-order for head start privelage then also dropping the cash to become a lifetime member I have to say this que is a little troubling. 1751/1751 is my position in que now during head start.....10 minutes later I am 1544/1783 in headstart. What will these numbers and wait time soar to in full retail? It's looking like I bought a lifetime subscription to sit in a que for endless hours. And once I get into game I might get an hour in before being booted due to a server crash...
All I ask is PLEASE CRYPTIC, give us some release notes, let us know what's going on, what is planned, give us something to look forward to even if involves a longer maintenance cycle than we want to hear about. Any news is better than no news.
Well if this happens on Tuesday I'll get ticked off. Right now, my hope is that Cryptic looks at this and fixes the issue by then. I mean, this is only the pre-order people on the servers. Once retail hits expect more people.
