Someone actually bought a Purple rarity Disruptor Beam Array Mk III (6x crit chance) from me for 300,000.

A MARK III!

I didn't think anyone would actually buy it. Hot dang. I guess someone wanted it just for the sake of having it. Probably an escort farmer >_>

Although I'm not as shocked by that as I was for getting an ultra rare in the first place.Luck and me usually don't go hand in hand.

Anyone else see any purples here or there?

Edit: If you ever see a pickup buoy that looks slightly bigger/different from the typical ones...DO NOT IGNORE IT!

I'd pay that for a 6x crit chance. My in-game 401k is maxed out, so I don't have anything else to do with the credits.

I remember finding a purple on my first char in beta, but so far none yet in the real game

I only started finding greens just recently.

I played since the last few days of CB and all of OB and never saw one drop in a game I was in. It was a pleasant first (and probably last).

Even for a mark III ? Wow. Well I guess it's nice to have something unique anyway.

Some people play the market.
Others just spam fleet actions with escorts non stop.

You don't get energy credits for fleets though if you don't have the mission. I did it, then a bunch more fleet, and all I get are SP for each ship. Buddy hasn't given me the actual mission a second time.

If your goal is to MAKE that much credits you can do it. The exchange is great for this if you can start out with a few items to sell. Buy low and sell high, rinse and repeat.

If there are 10,000 people playing and on average each person has 2000 or 3000 to spare that means that there is a basic economy for the exchange of 30 million credits and thats just today. That market grows every day. There are people that will sell things and make a profit and not play the game except to make more credits. I like to do that myself. Ive only got about 20k credits from doing that but I only play a few hours each night.

I'm lieutennant commander and I have only bought a Mark II sniper faser rifle for one of my BOs.

I find everything i need on game. So I have lots of energy credits.

I don't even know what's on most of the stores.
