Star Trek Online is currently down for a brief maintenance. We are expecting this downtime to last no more than 2 hours. Upon completion of the maintenance, this message will be updated accordingly

Update: The servers are back up! Thank you for your patience!

Thanks for the notice... good job so far with a clean head start release.. but what happened to the in-game notice for downtime?

so that's why I was stuck in a never ending loading screen after finishing a mission and trying to beam to my ship. Well... that sucks.

Great timing, and thanks for the ingame notification. How is 'brief maintenance' equating to 'no more than 2 hours'?

I am hoping this will be the last step to get us ready for an influx of new players tomorrow.

Is it so hard to make a short notification 5 minutes before you shutdown the server??

Because it is less than 24 hours?

I agree the lack of in game notification would have been a nicely added touch.

I knew I shouldn't have left for an hour. Come back and they are down. Oh well... growing pains I guess.

Nice unwarned down time again, stood by this game althrough the beta phase both closed and open but now I really am paying for the game I gotta say seeing the game go down once a night an unspecified time for an unspecified length seems pretty unproffesional.. not only that but the fact this going in the paid headstart which was all about letting dedicated customers get ahead seems pretty rediculous actually. Ah well, throwing one voice into the unheard masses isn't really a worthwhile venture :p
