Photon/Quantum/etc Torpedoes need to run out of steam at 15-20k.

You fire anywhere form 0-10km the torpedo follows the target but only out to 20km or so.

Right now you can get 20, 30, 40+ KM away and still have them following you across the map.

The green one(Heavy Photon) is the worst..its very slow and in order to shoot it you need to be within 10km.....IOW its a snot ball tracking device

I've noticed that if you run far enough away (engine batteries + evasive), the torps follow and hit you, but they register as a "miss".

I dont know if that is intended, but it has saved my ass loads of times.

Yeah ..maybe this is mostly a Klingon problem with Torpedoes.

See they follow you ..no matter how far you go..no matter if you cloak or not they follow you.

Inevitably the Feds wil realize if they shoot a slow moving green snotball at you they can follow you...even if you cloak they just have to follow the snotball.


Torpedoes should simply fade away after x range.
Even though Feds don't cloak the torpedoes of infinite range has to be annoying.

No they should no run out of "steam", theres allready enough people exploiting the evasive manuver bug, we dont need to reward em, fact Is theres no way in hell you'll get to 20k before missle without using it.
