It seems the server is down more than it is up, let us hope it improves, I am getting very disheartened at the moment.

You need to learn to count. 2 hour maintenance every 12 hours ani't more down than it's up.

The other big example of a single shard MMO is EVE; and that goes down every single say at 11am for maintenance. Its normal for single shard games. Seen as this is brand new, its hardly suprising we are having a bit more than normal (once per day) atm.

Shard = a Game with 1 sever with everything instanced out example Guildwars

EvE is a single server but is not sharded with the exception of a few missions please get your examples correct thanks


Also out of the 10+ years of being a MMO gamer I have never seen a game with such terrible server issues. Maintance comes in 2 forms. Routine stuff reset servers / add a patch. And emergency maintance cause something went wrong. If something is wrong FIX IT dont just put duct tape over it and replug the hole a few hours later again. Someone in the IT department needs to get fired for either **** equipment or just doing a shotty job in general :/

It could of been a lot worse cryptic have done a good job IMO

One server for every one is very adventurous yes there was teething problems and still are a few hanging around

What would you rather have it left on all the time and the issues not get fixed and just left as it is Or have the downtime and them fix it?

Then you would be complaining more

2 out of every 12 (for the first 10 days or so)? That sounds about right for launching a game based on the Cryptic Engine.

You might get off even easier than the CO launch, assuming anything was learned from that.
