Without the Romulan palette there is no green on the KDF side. But it is weird; the same pieces can have different pallets on different boffs, or change palettes if you load things in different orders.
I swear, the underlying code for the tailor stuff must be the oddest ever.

Looks like they just got rid of "pinks" and "purples"
and yellows and greens and several shades of reds and blues.
The thing is that some pieces use one palette at one point and then the other later on.
So say I had my crew in civilian gear and wanted a palette of green and yellows - I swear there is a promo pic of this in some dev post. everything works fine until after I align then that is no longer available for the same items. if you edit then you get stuck with the new limited palette.
And you cant mix pieces for a consistant look. All your crew basically have to be in certain tops/pants to match all the colors.
As KDF I found that more or less you had to use Black and go with a bondage leather look or make your crew look like some 80s funk band in red or dark blue.
My other issue is that when you are presented with your "allied" choice you are give ZERO information on what that really involves. So if I knew I would have one color palette for one and not the other then some people might pick Fed over KDF for that very reason. But since you start with a Romulan palette there is no reason for the player to think they will suddenly have a choice of grey, dark red or dark blue, period.
For me, my intention was to do an "updated" version of the TOS rank colors. But thats impossible because those colors suddenly dont exist for you.
Probably the wrong person to answer in this then as I'm one to usually not care about clothes. I go with more boring browns and greys if I can be bothered changing them.
If you want to try to improve my wardrobe feel free! lol
But seems to me your gripe is not only with colours, but the fact that the uniforms poorly match/merge together? Is that correct?
