I thought this topic was covered in at least a dozen different threads.

CBS banned a T5 Connie. It is illegal for PWE/Cryptic to make one.

That's all there is to it.

the engines are the first thing that is installed in a keel, fallowed by the main computer, literately incorporated into all systems. as you said you could use the transporter, but that could leave the hall unstable, casing micro fractures, and so on. you would have to rip out all systems incorporated with it, and work out a new deck layout with the free space that the old engine freed up, it's not imposable, you just need alot of man power and time.

Both of those ships are far older than the Constitution class vessel.

Not a single Constitution showed up in Deep Space 9.

I understand why the T'varo can be used in tear 1 but don't agree with it being a tear 5 ship, same problems as the conny.

the D'kyr was first seen in Enterprise, i have no idea why criptic used it, and not some modified ship instead, but it is the first Vulcan ship shown other then the shuttle on first contact. but if you look at the time device on Enterprise you'll see that Vulcan ships don't change much and could say it's a different class, that looks the similar and named the same

Sorry about ds9 fact i haven't watched it in forever and i could have sworn that i saw one.

But the C-Store says it is that ship not a similar one in the text for it when you go to purchase it. So even Cryptic is marketing it as the ship from ENT.

Upon further reflection I realized the Enterprise itself is in Trials and Tribble-ations. But I'm not sure that's what you were getting at, since that's a time travel episode which goes back to that specific TOS episode, Kirk and all.

I bet there will be a higher tier Constitution ship, but I think CBS is just waiting for the right moment. 5th anniversary?

Would be awesome as a special 1,701 days subscribed reward.

How many would by an LTS just for that...

Because it is classic and one of the best Starfleet ships ever built and has great history behind them all.

This is funny because it made me think of what would happen if they got the rights to the JJprise and made it tier 5 because CBS couldn't tell them they can't.

The Somraw, K'tinga, D'Kyr, D7, Kumari, Xindi carrier, Xindi escort, and the T'Varo are all older than the Constitution Refit and yet they are tier 5. The Constellation is made up primarily of Connie refit parts and it is tier 5, there is no logical reason whatsoever for the no tier 5/6 connie rule.

Wouldn't happen as STO's license for Star Trek is with CBS. Any negotiations for properties outside of the shows/non-JJ movies goes through CBS.
