Feds get battlecruisers, you get sci-ships. Fair deal?

I guess you mean a cruiser armed with cannons.
It's called "dreadnought cruiser" or Galaxy-X.

I keep feeling like the Korath feels like some ship from some other sci fi fandom but I can't really recall what.
I always had the feeling that the stubby little wings without cannons made them look somewhat like certain Kilrathi ships from the Wing Commander series.

I guess he meant a cruiser that can mount DHCs, which has a decent turn-rate, bonus weapons power in addition to a decent offensive boff and console setup. If you compare the dreadnaught to the Vor'Cha for example, you might as well call the Bortasqu an escort...

If Fed currently want a battlecruiser the only way they can get one is through the D'Kora or by waiting for the Chel'grett to make a return, the same way Klinks will have to buy a Korath if the want a more aggressive Sci ship. That's also the reason why I'd wager we won't be seeing both variants any time soon...

The Kar'Fi is a pretty tac-focused sci ship. It is, of course, a whale.

I was wondering what those were. For the longest time I was under the impression that it was a playable corbomite device that you manually flew to the target and then detonated.
Every time I see one, it quickly goes boom for some reason. You'd figure with all those engineering slots they'd be able to tank more than just probes.

Anyway the Kamarag seems like a half decent sci based cruiser. Haven't flown one, but it's got some nice sci seating options and comparable turn rate to a Vorcha. I expect dedicated science is going to be interested in the new EptAx which cover it's aux deficiency and boosts particle and grav gen.

It won't give you the shield modifier that you normally get in a sci ship, but I would like to see a raptor with like 4 universal consoles with cmdr and lt cmdr universal boff slots. It is clear that we aren't going to get near as many ships as the feds, so why not make what we do have more flexible.

Shouldn't be a problem for Cryptic to do, just re-skin the Qin (again) but with 3 or 4 universal consoles and the 2 highest rank boffs as universal and call it done. I would buy that off of the c store right now.

As much as I would love a better KDF Sci ship no thanks, Battlecruisers are really the only class of ships where KDF has it better than Feds.

Ive found that its not so much about punch, feds have cruisers with punch. Its the fact they want all (or thier favorite cruiser) to have that punch. They seem incapable of playing outside thier desired vessel type so they expect the best of all worlds instead of going with a vessel designed to have more punch tactically.
