Joined an CSE pickup (from PESTF by the way.) Chatty group. Way to chatty for my taste normally, but whatever. Sounds like they have no idea what they are doing but start the mission anyway... I take the cautious approach and just head for the middle cube and go to work. Not really watching as they blow the right cube in no time at all before the middle was fully primed. Fast forward to the end (in about 4-5 mins maybe), and find out someone was parsing dps - I have like 12K and was 4th! LOL

No, not the worst STF experience but funny story anyway

Now, I am permanently banning myself from playing ground STF elite missions...permanently... or at least until I can get a hold of some Mk XII fleet armor or MACO armor and weapons!
The jem hadar ground set is fine, but mini guns against the borg is inviting both aggro and near instant adapting to your damage.

Try any pulse wave assault instead.

I have one to add to the list. Just got off of a Conduit: Infected Elite because I decided that it was going to be nothing but an uphill battle. The first indication was when it took over 3 minutes to kill the just cube in the beginning. Three of the other members of my team kept getting KOed. I believe all three of them were in patrol escorts. After that, three of us went to the left, killed the cube, and started on generators while one was waiting to respawn after dying multiple times and another briefly went AFK. By some miracle, I think we were able to stay with the 10% rule and killed the generators pretty quickly. But then when I started firing on the transformer, I noticed that things seemed to be going slowly. That was then when I noticed that the three that died at the start of the match died AGAIN. Needless to say we failed the optional and I found myself running away from a few sphere. The only other guy that didn't die started complaining saying that he had better communication on Xbox (funny, considering I didn't see anything in the chat window from him earlier). I finally decided to say "Screw it," because if the first few minutes of that had already gone to crap, I didn't want to put up with the frustration of the remainder of that match. I abandoned the match and chose to suck it up for the leaver penalty. I also added 4 more names to my what is becoming a long ignore list.

Does having had no new ones for nearly 3 years count as a 'bad experience'?

If you want a good testing ground for anti borg (Defrea borg are way to squishy) try the foundry mission "Defense of Starbase 57" .

The most recommended weapons against the borg are Pulsewave assault, split beam rifles, melee and http://sto.gamepedia.com/Synchronic_..._Assault_Rifle

lols i remember this one... was good fun! we had you hook line and sinker at the start though! (pretended we where all noobs... ) oh we did chuckle... but good sport and sure now you're in dps11k with us! whoop!

PESTF is watched by DPS5k and DPS11k, guys from these DPS channels regularly host games on PESTF and I myself actively recruit by running DPS test runs for DPS5k invites as of recent so its nice to know we have solid guys on PESTF and over time id like to be able to get more guys pumping out them big DPS numbers on channel.

Good story though!

There I was...

Just a little while ago in a CSN.

Pugged in and said 'HI' as usual.

No response.

I flew over to the right and started on the nodes.

All 4 of the others went to the Kang.

All 4 had damages.

I killed what I could at cube 1 and was watching as the other ships went Boom, Boom, Boom and Boom.

All 4 died from a couple BOPS that got through.

I flew to the Kang, killed the BOPS, and sent it a heal.

The other 4 came right back to the Kang and sat.

I typed, 'Any of you guys know how to use your heals?'

No response.

And again I watched them all go Boom, Boom, Boom, and Boom.

Somebody typed, 'They're too strong for me, I'm outa here'.

The other three followed him.

Now I sat there by myself and waited to see if anyone else would pug in.

I saw one pug in but he bailed right away.

I killed what I could and just bailed.

I probably could have done it by myself but had stuff to do.

Oh Well....

Currently play Infected: The Conduit, while we were finishing off the spheres from the left side, one noob started on the right. He didn't go after the cube, he went straight for the generators.

I was surprised it took so long for someone to see him cause his DPS was garbage. Anyways he destroyed a generator with the cube still up above with 100% HP and we ended up losing the optional despite a science vessel trying to put the nanite spheres in a gravity well.

Still deciding if I should leave now. 2 escorts and 3 cruisers. getting nowhere

That reminds me of what happened a few days ago. I was on my Eng toon in her Vesta and was rocking out the DPS, used GW to hold the spheres on the left side while the others finished off the transformer. Headed right and got held up by the gate. Once I got to the other side, the cube was still intact and someone had already blown a generator and despite my best efforts, I wasn't able to stop a nanite sphere from getting to the transformer.
