With the Steriod-Spheres new found hyperactivity, it's usually around four - five minutes left on the clock, simply because the team has to spend so much time chasing sphere's around (and crowd-control is ineffective).
It's sad to say ise, now more than ever, requires faster moving ships (at least 2 or 3 in an instance) with burst damage to keep up and swiftly vape the spheres. Then again optional is not really a big deal, so I'm probably nitpicking.

The most irritating thing here (and in most of the Tholian space events, too) is the Tholian FaW3 spam; if the Borg Spheres have EPtE3, that's what the Tholians have. In Azure Nebula, it keeps people from sneaking up on the base and releasing the Romulan ships while other players keep the Tholian ships occupied. In Vault Ensnared, the FaW3 spam from the Tholian support vessels keeps you from clearing out the vault weavers quickly; I can go through 3 days worth of Evasive-inna-can in 1 Vault mission trying to get away from the little nuisances. I suppose I should give the Tholians credit for finding something that used the game mechanics against the players.
"Susse-thrai" had been the name bestowed upon her, half in anger, half in affection, by her old crew on Bloodwing; the keen-nosed, cranky, wily old she-beast, never less dangerous than when you thought her defenseless, and always growing new teeth far back in her throat to replace the old ones broken in biting out the last foe's heart.
Romulans: left one homeworld, lost another, third time's the charm?

Okay I just had my worst.

I usually pug ISE since the majority of those who do it seem to know the tactics. Now normally this is the biggest problem when pugging an STF, on this occasion though that wasn't the case.

You know ISE and how it's the easiest and most basic of the ESTFs? Know that cube that dies in seconds at the start, the VERY start?

Two cruisers and an escort died during that cubes brief existence. They died so fast I wondered if they were flying T2 ships for a second.

I've seen that happen numerous times, and have posted about it in this very thread a few times. It's usually ships being used by players who have NO concept of the fact that their ship has numerous damaged systems and seemingly even less idea of the fact that they need to repair said damage.

The worst thing is that these players, in their VERY broken ships, will often fly at the target, get insta-killed, and then complain that the mission is "broken".

Saying that, I have seen ships that had no damage at all do the same - namely fly at the target and get insta-killed. Can only assume that their ships are set up VERY badly.

I won't go near an elite STF with less than 40 of each type of Component in my inventory. Whenever I use some, I always replenish the supply at ESD before logging put. Ditto for all four battery types. It's just good manners to show up prepared.

As for the Vault Ensnared, that's what BFAW3 is for. Nothing clears out the Tholian clutter like a well spec'd cruiser running aux2bat. :-)

40 of each?
I have 20 of each in my inventory, but they have been gathering dust for some time now.

Recently i find myself annoyed by the size and lack of maneuverability from the Scimitars. Almost got blown up by point blank thaleron burst from donatra because i got stuck between two of those flying bricks.

Recently in IGE, my team was at the boss room, we had just blown the generator in the middle when I made the derp move of getting caught in one of the plasma jets and getting Insta-KOed.

Ok fair enough, my bad.

The real problem came when one of my teammates had the lovely idea of trying to rez me when I was clearly still under the plasma jet.

I tried to tell him to just let me respawn, but in the end it took my character actually glitching through the roof of the room for him to stop... ended up running out of critical regens and was left with 3 head traumas, 4 internal bleeding, and 1 combat exhaustion...

I realize why no one ever PUGs CGE and IGE anymore...

What I love is having a scimitar player initiate the thaleron while Donatra does the same, and everyone else on team trying to figure out which green beams to EM away from. Queue "Yakety Sax" lol
