It is tempting to go D'Deridex for the canon appearance, but the T'Varo is so much fun and also canon.
The only thing making it perfect would be the T'Liss costume at T5!
But then we had the Temporal Investigation police on our heels again I guess.
Here's my basic PVE build. http://skillplanner.stoacademy.com/?build=tscort2_0 The Shield absorptive frequency generator is handy because with scatter volley it has a great proc rate, although i swap it out for a embassy console occasionally. also the destabalized torp console is usually where the embassy console is now. This build can also hold its own in pvp, and is a pretty potent alpha striker. I have also tinkered around with the ltCmd uni slot, and you can run this ship effectively with aux2bat DEM or a sci with scramble and extra heals.
Really an awesome ship.
I'm grinding tech doffs so I can get an aux2bat build going, which is going to be a killer

I'm about to make a KDF-aligned Reman Tactical captain with the eventual objective of flying a Fleet T'Varo. The problem with T'Varo torp boat builds is that to get the best min/max build you may need to use some expensive high-end Reputation gear.
I'm interested in a setup that makes sense thematically for a Reman captain (ie. weapon types the Reman resistance would be able to access) but is also effective in PvE. So far, I've come up with the following build for when my captain reaches level 50: http://www.stoacademy.com/tools/skil...=budgettvaro_0
Everything is available through relatively cheap exchange purchases or as mission rewards. The Deflector is the Tal Shiar Deflector, rewarded from the Romulan mission where you stage your defection to them.
Eventually I would try a Sci officer in the Universal slot to experiment with crowd control/disable abilities, and more advanced equipment like the Reman shield and Romulan torpedo.
For a reman build you basicly gor for all romulan rep gear and add the reman space set.
When it comes to equipment they are pretty much the sam when it comes to ingame lore.
On the shows however romulans always used disruptors and photon torpedos plus the occasional plasma torpedo.
They never ever used plasma beams in the shows.
Especialy the remans, of wich we only know the scimitar, didnt use plasma weapons at all.
quote Worf: " 52 disruptor banks, 27 photon torpedo bays, primary and secondary shields.."
add the thaleron pulse and the scorpion fighters and thats it.
In sto they gave the romulans plasma weapons so they are somewhat different.Although i have to admit that i dont like the plasma proc.
Its doesnt do a whole lot of damage and apart from pve where basicly everything can work, in pvp basicly all your opponents can easily counter the plasma proc, most everyone carries hazzard emitters, maco and omega shields are resistent against plasma damage as are many other shields.
Most procs are either very minor in effect or easily countered as their effects are easily nocicible, plasma burns are visible, tetryon is noticible as well as everyone is looking out for their shields at all time, phaser proc is dependant on situation, a low aux level isnt as alarmingly noticably as total failure of shields, engines and weapons but its briefly eneought to be usefull if it happens.
The polaron effect is prety minor as it works on all power levels, work much better with flowcapacitors skilled up but still the drain is easily countered.
Antiproton proc just happens and cant be countered.
Disruptor proc is probably the best in game as it lowers the defence rating of your target wich can be exploited by yourself and your teammates.
I kitted my romulans with Fleet disruptors and photons for their dps. I dont like plasma torps awhole lot especialy the high yield torps wich are targetable and slow.
Dont get me wrong, the mega freak torpedo of the tvaro sure is fun but its an added bonus rather than taking a weapons slot, so i use it too.
quantums are faster and have higher damage, photons have higher dps.
Of cause the omega plasma torp and the romulan hypertorpedo are great so you might want to use them. Then going for plasma weaps and sets would make sense.
