Those four keys were treated as four different keys but since season 7 we've been losing key functions. Why?

The only way around this, is to buy a fancy keyboard that allows you to remap what a key is.

So my numpad / becomes "shift+/" when pressing the numpad / and then "shift+/" gets put into my bindfile as the bind.

I'm just glad this thread exists because even the guys in my fleet sometimes give me funny looks when I tell them keys are disappearing.

Losing bindable keys is always bad, but in Cryptic games you have like 3 -3/4 million possible actions, so even worse.

It's getting to the point where I just want to AutoHotkey *every* game (as annoying as that is) because games are getting more interface-hostile. (Skyrim locking out half the keyboard, all the console ports with their "everything buttons," etc.)

Just in case anyone was monitoring, this has not been fixed in any of the recent patch. Sometimes they forget to mention little ninja fixes here and there. This one is still just as broken as ever.

On the bright side, so far I haven't noticed any other disappearing keys. So that's... something...

Maybe they're getting the game ready to port to a console, where there won't be a keyboard.

Maybe with the extra time and resources devoted to creating new console icons with the patch today, someone found a minute to restore old missing keyboard functionality.

It would be nice if there was a way to know whether support tickets, forum threads, or bug reports were being noticed.

I steer with the number pad and use the in game power tray. So... yes .

Resolved an issue that caused the NumpadEnter key to be recognized as the Enter keybind.


One key back to the masses!
