Well, after struggling to ramp up the damage output of my Fleet Patrol, I decided to pull my FAHCR back out and take it for a spin. It promptly delivered 12K+ DPS in ISE while doing over 5M in total damage.
So, I guess I'm basically done with escorts for the foreseeable future. Which is ironic because, until a month or so ago, all I had ever flown were escorts. And even now, I still appreciate the speed and dexterity of a smaller ship.
However, I can't "own" an ESTF with an escort like I can with a cruiser. With my FAHCR, I can usually save even a thoroughly borked mission (e.g. CSE with an early cube popped by a bunch of low-DPS noobs) through sheer force of will. Broadsiding a wave of raptors or negs and watching them simply "melt" under the relentless pressure of my Global CD'd BFAW3 is a thoroughly satisfying experience.
But I did pick-up a new Embassy FC console at the suggestion of a previous poster. Now I've got two Mark 12's, one running the Plasma mod and the other the [HuH]. Truly the best of both worlds.
I have a question. The proc on Disruptors is the dmg resistance proc, right? How does that stack exactly? I mean, with tetryon I have a shield dmg proc so once shields are down proc is over and I just do whatever dmg is listed plus buffed w/consoles etc. Let's just say its 100 dps (for easy numbers). But would the dmg resist proc for disruptor continue to give me procs and continue to increase my dps? So for example: I hit the proc and lower their dmg resist and now I'm getting (easy numbers) 110 dps. Does the proc stop until their resist goes back up, or if can I hit the proc again while its already down, and thus get say (easy numbers) 120 dps? Is that what makes things like disruptor so much better, even though the base dps stats for weapon types of equal rank are essentially the same, and its the procs that are different?
Also. Romulan Plasma, huh? First I've heard anyone talk about the romulan stuff. Its always borg this and omega that.
Romulan Plasma Weaponry is very rare and has 2 Modifiers and in place of a 3rd modifier it has the Disruptor Proc.
It's purchased from the Store after being unlocked via the Romulan Reputation.
As to your question I don't know if Disruptors stack, but I know that once the shield facing your shooting is down Tetryon stops being useful, If Disruptors proc again it just means that's more time you can shoot them with a damage resistance Debuff.
I was once DKnight1000, apparently I had taken my own name so now I'm DKnight0001. If I ask you a question it is not an insult but a genuine attempt to understand why. When I insult you I won't be discreet about it, I will be precise and to the point stupid.
