# 1 Suggestion: Universal Slot

I have a new idea not sure it is a good one. My idea is the universal slot. We can like purchase some kinda unlock from the z store. Limit one unlock per ship. Once you have the unlock on the ship. You can like stick devices, weapons, or consoles into the slot. If you ever get rid of the ship you forfeit the unlock on that ship so not going to be there if you reclaim it.

If you need i more weapon slot, need one more console slot, need one more device slot. Then we can do it with the universal slot. I am sure that can be limitations of what it can do. But some time there are not enough slots in the sto universe to mod out the ship how they you want it. One universal slot might not be a bad idea.

Like 110 zens or something, limit 1 per ship, you can sell it on the exchange maybe.

Your idea is not new. However the Devs rarely take notice of player suggestions and never give them the consideration they deserve.

Best you can hope for round here is a dev might ask for an opinion on something he is already working on.

They never take suggestions for work.

I wouldn't mind seeing an actual Universal Console Slot (or 2 or 3), that way I'm not forced to use up a Science/Tactical/Engineering slot. IMO that would make more sense.

Good idea!

Seen this suggestion before as its not new as a previous poster has said however I would be nice if they did allow you todo that.

110zen is maybe too expensive. I would say maybe 50zen....would be a first on the zen store granted, but for what it is 110zen would seem a little over priced in my opinion.

I think its a pretty good idea, but a universal slot is kind of useless on big ships or VA ships. Two slots would do better, like two charicter slots, two costume slots, 2 boff, 2 ship, its all two.

I like the idea.

Though, instead of the just the option of a weapon, console, or device in the universal slot, why not allow for a 2nd shield, a 2nd deflector, or a 2nd engine on certain ships?

For instance, keep the restriction to a weapon, console, or device in the universal slot as a base for all ships. Though, give cruisers and battle cruisers the option to slot a 2nd shield (for better tanking), science vessels a 2nd deflector (for better disabling/healing), and Klingon Bird of Preys a 2nd engine (for faster hit and run). Escorts, raptors, romulan ships, carriers, etc. would be limited to a weapon, console, or a device.

Doing that might help solve the escort (and romulan) vs non-escort imbalance.

Man i forgot i posted this long ago. Will it looks like someone had read this post. Since the new dyson ships have a secondary deflector. So hopefully the other suggestions would somehow appear later on in the game.

Thanks to all that read this and added on to the post so far.
