Hello Captains and welcome to Priority One's 138th episode, recorded on Thursday,*August 22nd, 2013 and published on Monday, August 26th, 2013 at PriorityOnePodcast.com!

The crew are back from their epic shore leave to Star Trek Las Vegas and are back on the bridge of the USS Priority One (it's not the bridge of the Enterprise, but it's home) and bring you a show so crammed full of goodness it should be illegal! In this week's episode of Priority One, James, Elijah and Tony tell us about their favourite moments of the Star Trek Las Vegas convention; in Trek It Out we play a small chunk of our interview with Art Director Scott Nakada & VFX Artist Chris Dawson,*the crew behind Star Trek Renegades and their latest fund raiser and how you, yes, you can help to get this Star Trek production to fruition (you can listen to our full interview here). Next, we head into STO News and*cover Legacy of Romulus Dev Blogs 37, 38 and 39; we recap for you ALL Season 8 teasers from Star Trek Las Vegas' Dev Panel and left us salivating and finally discuss the two sets of patch notes before heading into*Field Notes where we?re joined by The Epsilonian of The Aquarius Fleet -- one of the first players to be apart of a team that actually BEAT the No-Win Scenario. He?ll share with us some of his best practices that will get you the coveted, ?Kirk?s Protege? title! Finally, as always, we open our hailing frequencies and listen to your incoming messages.

This week's Community Questions:
  • Have the Lock Box prizes helped alleviate any possible Buyer?s remorse?
  • What rewards are you looking forward to most with these Elachi Lock Boxes?

Topics Discussed:

Good show, I do have to mention that I think Elachi weapons are broken, at least the console was already brought down a bit.

Didn't the Voth have Colony ships, so couldn't this be a pre to generational ships like the Enterprise J?

Elachi were in 2 episodes, Enterprise "Silent Enemy" (ship) and TNG "Schisms" (the actual Elachi, might be wrong on this one).

I hope not. I would like to have as few things from ENT as possible.

So inhumane superweapons, mass murder, and canon nonsense is okay, but speedos are too much for some people.

The Elachi were only ever in "Enterprise", then known only as "Shroomies", the STO devs are trying to conflate them with the Solanogen-based lifeforms but they are quite different species, with the ones from "Schisms" having more insect/crustacean-like features.

There is no conflation. They are separate species, even in STO. The Elachi (Shroomies) only ever showed up in Silent Enemy.

People assume they're connected, because during one of the custscenes in-game, you see Cardassians being abducted into their "subspace domain" in the same way that the Enterprise-D crew were in "Schisms".

if they only showed in 1 ep why bring them to s.t.o ? , there were other races that showed up more . why not insectoid's or something like that just as hostile to humans

Thanks for pointing out that the new storyline mission is a single episode like Temporal Ambassador, many people indeed was thinking that it was a new Featured Event arc. Though I fear that when the mission becomes available, we will surely get "that's it?"

Ho ho, so you either just spoiled the Solanogen-based lifeforms are part of the Iconian forces, or that you didn't realize Installation 18 has identical similarities to the abduction on the Enterprise-D by the Solanogen-based lifeforms.

For example, one of the Romulans said he had his arm taken off and reattached two days later. Then there are the portals that they use to abduct.
