ah. i see the problem. i suffered from the same problem as well, but i found a fix

dropping the torp

outside of extreamly lucky hull hits, using a torp on an escort is like leaving a forward weapon slot empty. i ran a torp on escorts for quite a wile, to try to make it work, but it just doesn't. torps are dead, theres just to much preventing them from doing damage no mater how good your timing is. replace your torps and torp skills with a DBB and BO, and your damage numbers and effectiveness will skyrocket.

As I'm finding it hard to kill a bug,

This is what I changed my Fleet Defiant too after some recommendations here and on the organizedpvp channel.

Still feels 50/50 to me. I cant either destroy a player in 1-2 passes. Or can spend the whole match firing at 1 person and never drop a shield facing.

So far PvP is starting to already seem hopeless to me unless I want to drop a ton of cash for better gear/lockbox stuff. Im going to keep trying though. Really want to make a home in pvp in this game.

I only do not understand one thing, why did you put 3 points on projectile weapon specialization, if you do not even use any torpedo or mine? You could better use that 3 points on energy weapon specialization.

And perhaps you could try out to use an EPtW I, may that be more efficient, with hitting the maximum amount of weapon energy and that plus 10% damage or more, I do not recall the number precisely.

Sorry, mistake when filling out the skillpoints (holding a cranking 7 month old baby when I was doing it).

Those 3 points are actually in aux on last column. Figured getting a boost for heals might be worth the last few points.

Hey guys,
So I posted my PvP t'varo torp build in the builds section and haven't got much of a response, but I was wondering if you guys have any suggestions. It does very well, and i place in the top two every time. The open console is occupied either by the subspace bioneural infusion circuits or tachyokenetic converter.
The boffs all haven superior rom op and subterfuge.
Doffs are three projectile officers, one gravimetric grav well doff, and one open doff slot I like switching around, but it's usually a deflector doff.

Hi cepholapoid I don't know if this will help you,
but it may give you some think to work with,
it may also be good for other pvp player who want a torpedo boat

All thanks goes to Cmdrskyfaller for his info and work on making this a B'rel torpedo boat build, info can be found in the notes
As you see the build works around the torpedoes and as a fall back has some shields hit points.
