on a regent, you pretty much run an excelsior build with minor differences. something like this

TT1, BO2, APO1
FAW1

EPtS1, AtB1, RSP2, DEM3
EPtW1, AtB1

TSS1, HE2

depending on the situation, you can have a strong direct beam hit, of multi target AOE, with the number of tac stations this ship has.

that skill tree works for eng too. on any captain you would use a dps cruiser or escort with.

for a regent, acc3 elatchi beam arrays seem pretty numerous and cheep right now, cheaper then ive ever seen acc3 beams. mkXI will do, mkXII are proboly quite pricy.

that 2 AtB scimitar, and that skill tree, have created the most dangerous ship ive ever used, or really seen anyone ever use, its a monster and i love it

I'm running 15/100/30/15 .


I can always get shields and engines to hit 125

well you run 100 weapons power for starters! if you want to move fast you want to have EPtE on the ship. you wont need 100 shield power unless your not running EPtS, which is pretty much crazy.

both ships have enhanced battle cloak, and to use that people tend to build torp boats that need no weapons power. if you use any energy weapons, you need weapons power

Ok I been lurking this thread a while and everyone seems really helpful and not the ship bashing type. I am running a Mirror Assault Cruiser with a Tac Captain (I know there are better ships I just like this one hehe). I am not much into the que type PvP but I do enjoy the occasional Kerrat run here and there and I like to run builds that I can PvE and PvP with.

So here is what I have heh.

Weapons Fore: 4x Elachi beam arrays

Weapon Aft: 3x Elachi beam arrays and cutting beam

MACO Mk XI Deflector and Shield

Aegis engine

Mk XII Warp Core Fleet [SEP] [A-W] [Acap] [SSS]

Eng Consoles: 2 Fleet MK X RCS [AllRes] 1 Fleet MK X Neutronium [turn] Assimilated Module

SCI Consoles: 1 Field Gen. and Zero Point Energy Console

Tac Console: 3 MK XI (blue) Disruptor consoles

BO layout is

Tac Lt: TT1, BFaW 2

Tac Ensign: BFaW 1

Eng Commander: EPtS 1, RSP 1, AUXtB 2, DEM 3

Lt Commander: EPtW 1, AUXtB 1, DEM 2

Sci Lt: HE 1, TSS 2

Doffs: 2 shield distrib. 2 technicians 1 Marion Francis

doff plotting always gives me trouble so any advice here greatly welcome.

this is not quite optimized, but its getting there. i like running 3 tech doffs with AtB builds, but you can get by on 2 when you double up AtB. run 2 copies of AtB1, thers no need to use a LTC slot for AtB2. then you could run RSP2 instead. you only need 1 copy of DEM too, try getting someone to train ET3 for you or maybe slot EWP1. you dont need 2 copies of FAW, you could run APB, or BO2 so you can chose between AOE or a bit of spike to finnish someone off.

its sort of pointless to run the cutting beam if you arent using the borg console too for the 2 part bonus. the cutting beam deal kinetic damage, and unless its hitting hull directly its doing next to nothing. ether get the borg console, or an 8th beam array.

I have the console to go with the cutting beam I might have labeled it wrong I was getting ready for work when I posted hehe. I was pondering on using BO2 so I don't have to AOE all the time but it was fun driving my carrier using friend crazy in duels. I will do some swapping around with your suggestions. Thanks for the input.
