The last one was locked and some of us got in trouble for "necroing" a 30 day old thread. I'm no longer necroing it, I'm just Rebooting it... like our old friend JJ.

So please, if you dont know what the hell is going on - go check out the 'Disenchanted' - a polite appeal to KDF players Thread.

So, at what point will Cryptic have done enough for you?

As a primarily KDF player , I am pretty happy at the moment. Not disenchanted at all.

Stahl promised us that he cared about getting Leveling content in the game so we could have KDF characters from Level 1. He talked about how it was important to him.
He endured mountains of crap and smack talk from the community for a long time, and when they both had the time and money to get it done. They did. It's pretty well known that the EP (Stahl) worked overtime hours just to get it done.

The original thread was about "DIRE need" of content and Dev attention.

So, the new episodes obviously don't count as content for you.
And the fact that the EP worked overtime , 6 days a week to provide the content doesn't show any DEV attention for you.

Please, explain why I should still be "disenchanted" (I never was), with the game?

Is it because they (the company/cryptic) set priorities based on what is going to keep them making money and therefore still have a game they can work on, and those priorities don't match what you think should be going on ? If so, http://crypticstudios.com/openings.

Please apply, get on the team, and see how many of your priorities and ideas make it to the top of the "To Do" list.

I am asking honestly here.
Why should I be "Disenchanted" ?

Then let KDF aligned characters participate in events before level 21. It's utter nonsense that hasn't been corrected to this point.

It's subjective, like you implied. My sour grapes are with the inconsistencies like that.

OP wants exclusive content, or the very least would like some equality in what is being released.

If it works for you, don't be disenchanted, you're under no obligation to concur or participate.

Whilst I can see Hippiejohn's points, I have to say that I remain not satisfied by the state of the KDF.

Yes, we got a new tutorial (arguably better than the Romulan one IMO) and early levelling content. This was long overdue and welcomed by almost all I have chatted in-game with and read in forum. The re-working of existing KDF content was well received as well.
The "reworking" of existing content, such as the Cardassian Arc, however, was not well done at all (we give back the Rapier? wth?) and could have used more polish to make it work from the KDF (or even Romulan) side of things. I appreciate more to do with my KDF characters, I just feel it would not have required much more effort to make it better.

Yes, we got 2 new early level BoPs for new players to play with, and these are appreciated. The D'Gavama is the best looking BoP I've seen. But, we cannot use its skin for later BoPs or Fleet BoPs. We still lack a Klingon sci ship and only 2 of the ships we buy give a discount on the fleet version (B'Rel and Varanus, if memory serves). The next KDF ship DStahl "promised" was due before the end of this year but is now slated for release NEXT year sometime (despite the Lead Designer admitting it is already 1/2 finished). Many of the allied KDF ships do not have alternate skins (unlike the Fed side which can alter the skins on almost every class of ship available). The skins are largely cosmetic, but would we not buy them if we had option? I think we would. So, the last KDF ship capable of being used in the end-game is the Bortas'qu from the 2nd anniversary and the 3-pack from about 1 month later.
And still no K'Vort in game despite it being one of the most iconic Klingon ships of TNG.

Klingons have few, if any, off-duty options (mercenary, winter coats, scarves, Risian stuff) and almost all of these are shared. We still await greatcoats, fingerless gloves (which the Romulans have!!) and many other options. We cannot show kit visuals because the devs did not plan for us to have them without clipping badly with clothing options. Still no Mek'leth or D'k tahg.
(I believe more melee weapon options should be in game already, such as the Kar'takin and bayonet for Jem'Hadar rifles, Ushaan-tor for Andorians, Teral'n for Romulans and a Katana for Humans so more ground-based missions could be made where energy weapons would not work).

Romulans gain another tactical ship... with a hangar no less... despite being top-heavy with tac ships already. I feel for Romulan players, I do. They gain a faction-specific escort carrier (of sorts) which they did not ask for and many feel do not need. The Klingons have the Vo'quv, Karfi and Marauder. Don't get me wrong, I love my Vo'quv and it is a sci-heavy nightmare in PvE, but why no Ferasan version of the Feds Caitian Atrox? Why no escort carrier for the KDF? Why no 5 tac-console ships in the KDF line-up? We are a race of warriors but have only the Tac-Bortas with this set-up? Why no 5 forward facing weapon ships? Both the Feds and Romulans have this, why not the obvious race of warriors?

Am I disenchanted? Not as much as I was. I remain disheartened by what I read about the future of the KDF and I remain hopeful that we will begin to get the treatment we deserve as loyal players.

So, I shall be retaining the title of Disenchanted on my KDF characters for the time being.

I'm still flying the Disenchanted (the first felk'ri mission bugs out on me so no title)...have been pre lor, still flying it now, more so due to the power creep travesty that is the romulan faction and its effect on the kdf (that I called the moment the devs started to spool out details - although even I didn't expect dual space trait boffs as standard...I want the pharmaceuticals the devs must have been taking during that design meeting)

At the least every bop and raptor needs balance check (as lets face it, the rommies won't get nerfed) and the romulan space traits need to come over to the 'true' fed/kdf to begin with

Why Disenchanted? Simply put, it is better to politely say I am disenchanted and to respectively list what issues I may have with the KDF than to spout more caustic hate filled threads of rant.
It keeps my blood pressure low and does not cast the KDF in the once role of "hated filled" thread creators.
This is why I still support the disenchanted title over piss and bile threads.

Agreed. It's a passive push towards improving the KDF.
