Hold the tape at 76 min he start talking about the new KDF ship and NEW KDF content!

Ship will be a battlecruiser and will be released at the same time as the new KDF content.

Again says would like to have out before end of year but 'no promises"

Good interview hurry up and let us former gold members back in tribble or we'll lock you in a room with starved cannibal tribbles . And in answer to your Scotty joke Bran, yeah a bit too soon.

You've earned a free Picard facepalm

"New content" most likely meaning one episode, with the new ship as reward.(accompanied by a +1 C-Store release, of course)

The show's host is so quiet and monotonous I can barely understand him. Also, 2 minute intro? Seriously, why do podcasts do such things? What's the point?

I'm sorry, I know a transcript is too much to ask, but I'd appreciate some highlights or synopsis at least. Good thing some other users are posting those in the comments.

I'm pretty surprised that STO hasn't touched on long range transporter technology. We've seen the subspace transporter and the spatial trajector in the series. We also saw on DS9 that Dominion technology was advanced enough that their transporters could utilize transponders, which enabled them to transport individuals across distances as far as three light years.

As to the "kitbash" ships, well you added the Nebula-class to the game, and that was also a kitbash. Technically so was the Negh'Var; having been built from the Vor'cha.

Interesting interview. But I take issue with a couple of things:

1. The Constellation is "such an old ship" it wouldn't be higher than Tier 2 if ever added to the game. Really? The Excelsior is an older design, and not only has a Tier 5 variant, but a Fleet variant as well.

2. The Springfield and New Orleans are ugly kitbashes with highlighters for nacelles, and are unlikely to make into the game because of a perceived lack of interest. However, he leaves out the fact that the Cheyenne was cut from the same cloth, but is in the game.

He mentioned that they will most likely focus on in-house designed ships in the future, rather than the remaining canon vessels. I sincerely hope not, for the Cryptic design team has been hit of miss when it comes to their designs. Some of them make the worst canon kitbashes look like first class beauty queens.

Even in canon the Stargazer was considered to be an under-powered, over-worked ship even by Picard - as he stated in Relics. Plus when Cryptic says T2 they mean T3. Cryptic's internal number system starts at T0 for Lt level ships while we call them T1s.

The game already has a T5 Stargazer, as the whole Class was created and named after that one particular Constellation ship. As such the Constellation skin would probably work on the Fleet Heavy Cruisers already in the game.
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

Great, now we know this ridiculous tier 5 Connie limit is hurting the playability of a ship TNG introduced as well. You can blame us Connie fanatics or you can do the mature thing and realize these rules are ridiculous.
The Somraw, K'tinga, D'Kyr, D7, Kumari, Xindi carrier, Xindi escort, and the T'Varo are all older than the Constitution Refit and yet they are tier 5. The rule needs to change.

The first chronological mention of the Constellation-class (USS Constellation NX-1974) puts it around the time of the events of Star Trek VI in 2293. Rick Sternbach found these old charts and took photos of them, and shared them online: Operation Retrieve #1 & Operation Retrieve #2
