So, I have long viewed the Nukara Rep System rewards as sort of useless until you hit Tier IV. Sure, the small buffs and such do some things for you, but not like the sets of space repair or damage buffs that you get - or, more to the point of this thread: those you are SUPPOSED to get - from those respective choices of "Claim T IV Reward: Auxiliary Power Configuration" which, when I looked yesterday, knowing that, after the 20-hour countdown, I was supposed to receive '+30' in each category for two of my characters.

Imagine my surprise today, then, when I completed Tier IV on not one but, again. two of my toons, and excitedly went to claim my "reward" for each and, in choosing the "Offensive" side of things, now receive...+0 to Starship Energy Weapons Training, +0 to Projectile Weapons Training, and +0 to Starship Weapons Training (standard) for BOTH of them!

So...from the anticipated '+30's each to '+0's - yeah, kind of a BIG change! Yet, another character, not quite there yet, still shows numbers I SHOULD receive...

What gives? Did I miss a memo about another nerf, or is this agonizing grinding for the Nukara system ACTUALLY useless when it comes down to it?

I took a screenshot for both characters, but can't seem to attach them.

Anyway, help please? Very annoying.

Did you view these stats in space with power settings set max aux power? I believe the TIV bonuses are based on how much aux power you have at any given time, it isn't a flat bonus.

You can't post images in this section of the forum, but you can copy the url and paste it into a post for people to use.
Man is a gaming animal. He must always be trying to get the better in something or other.
Warning, this poster tends to talk nonsensically when caffine levels fall below 80%.

Yeah...feeling rather doltish. I WAS, in fact, viewing the system in a "ground" setting. once I went into "space," stats were there, though STILL much lower than they had been saying previously at 20% of my Max.

And, thanks for the input regarding the attachments vs. URL. That's what I was trying to do - had posted the pics on our Guild Website (yeah, that nerdy, ha!), but somehow think I disjointed the URLs.

Anyway, I think I am sorted out. Lower numbers, granted - annoying - but at least much higher than '0!'

The bonus scales with aux power, so you only get max bonus at max aux.

Little bonus on a Romulan escort, way more on a sci ship.

It was pretty noticeable on my alpha BoP, which typically runs with about 75 aux power, and really very useful on my sci, at 130 aux (I think 25+ to the skills affected).

Yeah, thanks; finally figured it out with the other chap's input as well.

Things I must also keep in mind for future reference: Rule #1: don't jump to conclusions prior to full caffeine intake and, Rule #2: be sure to double-check my screen to see where (i.e. "space" or "ground") I am viewing things from following said caffeine intake...

yeah I find it limited use on my main Engineer as there are times where my AUX crashes and times were i can get my AUX up to 80 depending on what powers I use. Though on my Sci it will give him a nice boost as hes running 124 AUX power constantly in his Vesta.

This reward seem to help out Sci vessels the most, which I think is good as they don't really have enough of a bite to them expically if they run high AUX as usually they end up having to short change Weapons and Engines to help get more Aux. (Vesta being the expection with its Dual Heavy Cannons that run off of Aux power, so Vesta will get even more out of it)

As people said above, make sure you are in system (not sector) space before investigationg space buffs, abilities or gear. Always. This is one reason why you still see people shopping at Battle Group Omega (because you can see true values of ship items on the exchange).

Furthermore, Aux to Bat builds are a very strong choice in this game at the moment. These bonuses were clearly added to make ships that are NOT running this popular build more competative.

I found with my engy and highish aux, like 90+ I was getting a good 5% dps boost. Not bad.
