Congrats on missing everything going on here. That's impressive.

You're right in one regard though, this is a game. Games are meant to be fun. Fun, however, is subjective from person to person. What we're doing here is giving feedback to the devs that the changes they made make the game less fun for many of us as well as defeating the goals that they outlined for this new rep system. No one here is asking to "be gods in game" but rather we were happy with the old prices and didn't think that they needed to be changed.

In addition, this is a forum for the test server. It exists for players to test things and give feedback on content and changes that the devs make. How do they know what we like and don't like if we don't tell them so? They could look at the numbers of people participating in content, sure. That doesn't necessarily tell them why though.

And that's exactly what we're doing here. Giving them feedback based on changes that they made on the test server. Now is the time to give them that feedback before it hits the live server.

Most of what I am concerned with is the space stuff because it seems from my testing that a breen set which is not very useful if you have STF gear is more useful than the dyson space sets.

The ground set is great but they need to make some changes so that the voths massive and frequent shield damage attacks don't completely strip all of your shields in the first 5 seconds of combat.

heh. fought a number of those smaller mechs that fire rounds upwards, you stay in one aoe circle long enough even 1 blast is enough to kill you or take your shield and most of your hp in that one shot, but it fires several of these. the rapid fire is alright, strips some shields but nothing spectacular, the other heavy fire option can remove the shield on first hit but no significant amount hp take out. mind you, as an engineer those mech survive for about 30 seconds at most before the CM, TB, OS then tac boff with nades goes to work then divide up and attack from behind and front with shotguns.

the increase in grind is butts.

Comparing any one rep to another is difficult but in general Omega is the easiest one to do with romulan and nukara tied.

That said even with the increased pay out the raw materials are just as difficult to get, a flat ec donation is still resources I must have and the mark availability is akin to romulan marks.


So the benefit of the larger xp project is still nice but the quicker project and the one for the weekend warriors is now decidedly gone.


I would ask for a review of at least the mark availability for this rep and maybe a look at the others as well. It should be normalized with the Omega rep.

Im really tired of raising the prices of stuff. CRYTPIC!!! some of us run multiple toons, me myself i have 18, i was disabled when i started playing this game and put alot of time into it. This rep stuff, i only have it on like 2-5 toons because of how much grinding you have to do for toon after toon after toon. Heres a idea, make rep account wide, at least for fed one fed unlocks all for ur feds, rom for rom, kdf for kdf. I would like to get rep **** on all my toons without having to grind 18 characters. honestly.

After playing Tribble today, all i can say this Rep current change is even worst than the previous Rep's... in the old Rep's with 1 character u just can do 1 PvE Queue get marks then set up ur 800-2000 20 hours rep point project's then switch to another character and do the same thing. but with this Dyson Rep with now the double the reward cost, ur character will have grind alot marks to setup 150 rep points every hour per character... sure this will get u to Tier 1 dyson rep and maybe Tier 2 faster, but what about Tier 3 and 4? this will make this Rep to the ultimate grind in term forcing players to use 1 character instead mutiple character which many players paid to get extra character slots only to be forced to use 1 toons or a few in a day, if Cryptic claims they made this game for casual players, then why they're treating people like they gonna be on STO all day while they got other things to do like work or going out hanging out with some friends. and if hardcore STO players wants to be on all day, then reward them and as for casual players make it less harder for them to grind. especially for players with mutiple toons... this is not ''Weekend Warrior'' friendly.

Why even double the reward cost to begin with?

Why not double the reward rep points from 150 to 300 with the increased reward cost to Dyson Mark Project while still having the the same rewards from dyson missions? because the fact is 150 points is waaay too low for the long term especially for casual players.

Why theres not a Dyson mark Queue's to compenstate for this increased rewards cost for dyson mark projects? so far i have not seen none and i don't think most people gonna hang around the dyson sphere all day, every day to finished maximizing only 1 or 2 character Dyson Rep at a time.

In fact, I think this is the worst decision you made about the REDACTED Reputation System. And I was all excited about the new Rep. This isn't looking like Star Trek to be honest and that's the only reason I play. If you make another REDACTED decision again that doesn't even come close to Star Trek you can say la la ta ta bye to my money

Hey cryptic just want to say my mind is set, im a casual player so this rep will be the last thing on my mind. If im brutally honest i will skip the voth as Q's winter wonderland is all im interested in. Snow ball fights and silly races, can't wait till the 5th!!!!

I was talking about the people that talk about all the money and time they lost on a test server, guess I should have quote them too, giving feedback is one thing, saying they have been robbed or killed the game for everyone is another in my eyes,

my feed back would have to be that so far I feel that a great job has been done, and no I don't care for all the grinding either, it was kind of ok at the first time I ran through it, but now with 7 char going, sadly only one is maxed, so making the rep longer is not something that I would like doing, and something like that I can see why people would leave the game
