Hi all,

Looking forward to giving this game a go and currently like many others downloading the client.

After trying the official torrent and then the Fileplanet version, I've settled on using the Cryptic Star Trek Online Downloader as it gave me the fastest speeds.

My question is simple, if I have to turn my computer off before the download has finished (currently just over 50%) will I have to start over, or will it continue from where it left off the next time I turn on my computer and start the downloader program up?

Is there a way of pausing the download? I can't see any options or anything on the downloader, just the status bar slowly making it's way towards that magic 100%.

Looking forward to the game!

Started off a bit slow (around 30KB/s, but now steady-ish at 275KB/s a second (which is my entire connection as I've only got about 2.3MB download speed in my apartment)

STO downloader will pick up where it left off. It will scan for the files it has already downloaded then carry on downloading.

I was able to get the STO downloader to install the game (via setup) and patch after just DL'ing the 1st 1 gig.

After logging in, it did a full patch at a resonable speed.

If you have to turn it off, you may want to try setup when you are ready to continue. The worst case is it wont work and you can continue where you left off with the STO downloader.
