Wasn't it supposed to SCALE with the number of players?
My poor little 3man team is fighting 6 specialists, 4 Spec Ops and 3 Medics AT ONE TIME! I can't kill anyone since the damn Medics will rez them instantly!

The BZ was doable solo when it first came out, WTH happened?!?
Sometimes I think I play STO just to have stuff to rant about on the forums!

They fixed it. IMO for the better. It shouldn't have been doable solo.

They got tired of ppl getting handed too many freebies. ("Money for nothing, and the chicks for free," as the song goes). For once, I agree with Cryptic on this.

Seriously, I do BZ a lot. Nothing has changed, really. Same rules still apply: don't try and take on 2 Voth Citadels on your own, don't fly right smack into the middle of several Bulwark ships and encourage, prepare for exit when you're heavily subnuked and have Aceton crap all over you, and generally just keep your wits about. That's about it.

And some parties are simply tougher than others (especially those that spawn inside mine field, adjacent to BZ, can surprisingly sting).

I wouldn't want the entire battlezone solo-able but the dev blog on it stated that all the individual points would be solo-able and would scale based on how many players were fighting over it.

Solo, no, but 3 people all with their 2 doff should be able to take and hold a point or two, preferably 3 full team needed for the zone.

I suppose technically they're still solo-able. A Voth Citadel usually spawns with a huge encourage of ca. 30 ships, several of which are Bulwarks. You can work your way in, by fighting the outer rims first, and then beat the Citadel. I can be done (and I've actually done it), but it takes too long to be fun, really.

Usually I'm just vigilent, and watch where the 'gang' is going next. It works better as a group, and is ultimately more fun.

Heck throw in 3 mech's and a couple raptor's and you have some of the situations for which I have been in solo. And this is what the game determines to be correct for a 1pc 2boff team to face.

The BAD part is when they self rez.... repeatedly. That is when it goes from fun to insane.
