A game experience that I am not fond of, happened last month when I was at Earth Spacedock and standing in the booth beside the Fleet Contact person.. alien? Trying to be helpful volunteering there.. and see if anyone was interested in helping to start a new fleet. We had 3 and just needed like 2 more. Anyways, someone kept throwing smoke grenades into the booth, so I decided to take a break and leave. One of the funniest experiences I had, was on DS9, someone with a gun was following me (kind'ov creeped me out), and they started pointing a gun at someone else. Well, that person beamed in a couple security guards who chased that person down the hallway. It was kind'ov funny, but still a little scary. Because you never know who else is on here looking at you like an easy target. ^^;;

How is this an STF experience? Sounds like you just got trolled on ESD and DS9.
It is said the best weapon is one that is never fired. I disagree. The best weapon is one you only have to fire... once.
Tired of Wasting EC and Time trying to get Superior Romulan Operative BOffs? Here's a cheap and easy way to get them, with an almost 100% chance of success.

The whole thing became a big mess, and I couldn't describe what happened but the next thing I know - Spheres everywhere and the whole team is dead - so I decided it really wasn't worth staying and took the penalty.

Again, a pity that there isn't some provision for this though - when the team is so catastrophically useless that bailing really is the only option.
I have noticed an increase in newbie teams, no newbies are willing to learn, noobish teams lately. Completely clueless and either not aware of or watching the chat.

Also, a "gg" at the end of the game seems kind of obsolete, most people just warp out.

This brings me to an STF question. Is there a bug that keeps you from seeing team chat?
I have my combat Tab to show team and to put anything I type into team chat. But I never see my own comments and super rarely anyone elses.

And on a bad experience. Ran Fleet defense with my kdf/rom. Full hull and full shields on my vet destroyer. Lining up to plasma lotus the fed siege ship and its escorts and I just popped. I did not see my shields going down, no ticking of my hull. Just flying then exploding.
I named my ship well.

The chat does work, but one has to refresh the team chat first by going to another channel (e.g. fleet channel) and then back to the team chat.

If you go stf back to back it doesn't always pick up new team chat content.
To test i usually say "hey" at the start. No response, i refresh. Hey a 2nd time and if there's no reply it's a usually regular face palm team.

Thank you. I usually set to the combat tab before warping to the stf. I will give your suggestion a shot.

Just had a facepalming good one on my end. Queued up Khitomer Vortex and totally forgot that I still had my Fleet Galaxy ready until the screen popped up. So, already I'm in for the fight of my life. Popping the Tac Cube took ages because it seemed like everyone decided to take Beam Arrays into the fight. Popped the Cube and one Klingon player decided they were going to be the ones to destroy the generators on one side. The others (a Scimitar, a Galor and, I think a Regent) went to the other side.

So, that meant that I was playing Probe popping duty in a Galaxy. I think the only thing that spared me from losing the Bonus Objective was that I had the Eject Warp Plasma skill. Again, because everyone had beam arrays, popping everything took forever and we barely made the Bonus in time (I think we had a few seconds left).

Then, there was the fight with the Scimitar at the end. Again, all Beam Arrays = tedious hacking. At one point, when the Scim was charging up its kill beam, I was attempting to move away when the Regent, in a stroke of brilliance, decided to use Tractor Beam Repulsors to push it along following me. Thus, I take my first (and thankfully) only death that round.

Moral of the story: Just because you have a Galaxy and you can bring it to an Elite match doesn't mean you should.

Galaxy with proper build will do just fine, as do Beam arrays
