Okay just thinking out loud to mysef...

1. If I have a EV suit that can resist a sun... what weapon can damage it? TR-116A

2. If you left the safety of the station why would not the gravity of the sun instantly suck you inside the sun and turn you into crispy bacon?

3. If this station's hull can resist a sun why wouldn't my chief engineer beam a piece to the replicator and use a transporter beam modified by the replicator to replace my hull with this super structure? Would this not make me impervious to energy weapons? Plus you got to think that the hull would be Iconian and probably have 1 Million hull points.

4. You know the "Dr.Cooper" in this episode is eeirly reminicent of Dr. Sheldon Cooper [Big Bang Theory]

Like I said just thinking out loud....

5) If i'm on the inside of the sphere - why is the horizon curved outwards?

Whilst outside the station I happened to notice my Nuk and Solenae tribbles finish their cooldown. Apparently, tribbles can withstand the heat from the Sun
Iconian? A label created by the Dewans to give voice to their destruction.
In the end, what they chose to call us is irrelevant.
We simply... are.

because you assume any replicator anywhere can make a ship-sized replica of material with an unknown origin.

Suspension of Disbelief.

Yeah - there are moments where the 'scifi-science' makes you go WTF??!!

Sure we can argue the logic and implausibilities of the original Warp drive back in 1965 - but fast forward to 2011 and scientists believe it's possible and by 2013 NASA is seriously looking at it....

So I have to give the story writers some measure of flexibility in writing this story. Who knows? In 50 years we may be commenting - hey they were right after all... ;0

Can I have that with some tomatoes on some toasted bread?

Seriously? That bothers you?

How about this My EV suit allows me to breathe in the vacuum of space but there are several missions where the damn thing can't keep out choking fumes.
