There are a number of things wrong with deep space encounters - the most frustrating being that at one moment, the enemy is .11 light years in front of me, and in the next, they're 5 km behind me.
Zone-in areas should always be clean at the start - and if I encounter something solo or with my group, I should not see people from the whole sector in my encounter, unless they came to my encounter.
Also - probably known, but I get a nice friendly "I did something I did not do" message when entering them in most cases.
