Star Trek Online How to Calculate CritH and CritD

Can some give me a straight answer on this? I know that the Attack tab only tells part of the story - for example, it doesn't factor in Weapons Specialization. So how DO you come up with a final number?

I tried the calculator. There's no real option for my Fleet Polarons (Acc x2, Dmg x2), so I went with the next closest thing, which was Acc x2 w/4x Locators (ignoring the Dmg x2 modifier FTM).

Factoring in my Borg Console, Nukara, ZP, Dyson T2 and Rom T2 Rep, along with my two Superior Romulan Operative Boffs, I come out with the following (assuming a target defense value of zero):

CritH: 31.5%
CritD: 142%
Dmg Multiplier: 1.446

Does that sound right? Looks like a roughly 4.5:1 ratio of CritD:CritH. Is that optimal? Or would something closer to 5:1 be better?

Am I correct in assuming that the ultimate goal to ratchet up the Dmg Multiplier? If so, then a mix of 3x Loc and 1x Exp looks like it would push it up by 0.2%, which doesn't seem like much but that's the best I can do without CritD mods to my weapons.

Also, since my goal is to also maximize T4 Placate function, then perhaps I've already reached the right ratio with 4x Locators.

31.5% - no wonder everyone complains I'm all but invisible in matches!

Using Borg, ZP, nukara, both T2 rep, 2x SRO and 9 in Weapon spec with 4x Loc tac consoles you should be seeing

CrtH 24.4% and CrtD 119%

That's with ACCx2 weapons vs 0 defence

Base: 2.5%
Borg: +0.92% = 3.42%
T2 Rom: +3% = 6.42%
2x SupOp: +4% = 10.42%
0Point: +1.8% = 12.22%
9 EWS/PWS: +2% = 14.22%
4x AVL: +6.4% = 20.62%

CrtD
Base: 50%
Borg: +9.2% = 59.2%
T2 Dyson: +10% = 69.2%
2x SupOp: +10% = 79.2%
9 EWS/PWS: +25% = 104.2%

Moving on to the Accuracy Overflow portion, well - it's going to depend on a couple of things that are missing - but might be assumed.

Base Bonus Accuracy: 0%
Accurate Trait: +10% = 10%
9 STS: +15% = 25%
[Acc]x2: +20% = 45%
Nukara: +10% = 55%

So 55% BA vs. 0% BD would give us the following...

CrtH: +4.4%
CrtD: +17.7%

Bringing our numbers to...

CrtH: 25.06%
CrtD: 121.94%

Yeah, must have done something wrong before. However, your numbers don't include my bonus accuracy of 25%. So all told it reads like this:

CritH: 27.5%
CritD: 132%
Dmg Multiplier: 1.362

So...not as high, but still pretty good, no? Especially since none my weapons have CritH or CritD modifiers?

And if I slot my Omega set in place of Borg 2-piece, it goes up to 27.8%/133%/1.370.

Accuracy - Defense = X

%ToHit =2-(1/(1+X))

%ToHit - 1 = Y

CrtH Bonus = Y * 0.125
CrtD Bonus = Y * 0.5

So with 55% Bonus Accuracy vs. 0% Bonus Defense...

0.55 - 0.00 = 0.55

I'm not calculating anything. I'm punching numbers into the "Magical Mystery Weapon Crit Advisor" site referenced by ehrlehn earlier in the thread and then reading back the results to anyone interested.

Numbers are OP, plz nerf

But yeah virus' numbers seem to be coming out about the same that Im getting. ACC overflow is a real pain to really count on or calculate, because it changes constantly when youre in combat.

Youre a PvPer so it will change even more.
