I have been trying to build a high dps high surviveability fleet assault cruiser after reaching the peak of what I could do with my fleet escort. Trial and error testing is getting to costly so any advice on where I need to go from here is much appreciated.
Please note... I am just shy of maco xii gear so my shields and warp core are weak. Major troubles with cruising speed and turn rate in stf.
Ok, Drop the RCS console and add A fleet neutronium +turn. You suffer a little turn rate loss, but you're using beam arrays, shouldn't be an issue . Make sure to get the MK XII assimilated engines and deflector, the 2 piece set bonus heals half of your hull in 10 seconds when triggered, really nice. Get the Spire tactical consoles, that'll increase your damage a lot. Eject warp plasma is ok, see if you can find someone to train DEM3 for you, then use that ltcmdr slot for RSP.
This is a very solid build. Good job. Only recommendations are minor.
Dem3 RSP2. EWP is ok but it will take away from your optimal firing arc which is your broadside.
Marion is overrated. With A2B, EPTW and cruiser command for weapon efficiency Marion is more of a luxury than a necessity.
You don't need the damage control doff for EPTX reduction since u have 3 technicians and double A2B. Get the warp core doff that has a chance to boosts power levels when using EPTX. If you're having problems staying alive then you can get the warp core doff that clears debuffs upon activating EPTX.
When possible you should upgrade your shields warp core and tac consoles.
