ok just tried to log in, and not only is the lighting horrible. but im getting half textures and ghosting.

my ship is a silhouette with lights lol.. cant even see the engines.. and I cant see space dock.. I first logged into the academy, and everything was super bright, and there were no walls or detail. the only place that was least effected was sector space.. but even then, my ship was only half visible..

even on the log in screen, my ship was not visible, and everything was out of wack..

I run an i7 3 ghz processor, 8 gigs of ram, a newer amd higher end graphics card. and I run through tridef in 3d.

a few days ago before the new season, everything was fine and sexy.. today, after waiting, nothing.. I tried logging in and out again, and nothing..

I have not tried to log in normally, as I will only play in 3d.. if I cant play in 3d, than I will simply waite for the problems to be resolved.. (there are other much better games out there lol.)..

I was wondering if anyone else has had similier problems?

Hmm, you might have the S8 missing texture bug now. Try typing this into your chatbox:

/tex_memory_unload_threshold 200000000
See if that works for you. You can use a lower number on that command to tweak it a bit. Lower number means that the textures reload more often, but might look slightly worse.

a quick update, I was able to get it to work, by switching my direct x's around.. I was running 9, and switched to 11, and boom it worked, but ill check later to see if the visual problems I was having with direct 11 are still around..

I thought the fix was inbound for the textures issue. I'm still having to use the chat command and it only works for a brief period of time. What gives?
