Hmm, alright.Very good imput, thank you everyone. I'm checking though all the laptops right now, but... Let's say in theory that I wanted to play the game on max. What laptop could perform that for me, and at what cost? Also, bear in mind that I'm canadian. Thank you!
I will give it a look here but, really you should expect over $2500 and up for a lappy to run this close to max.
I think the fastest chip right now is the nvidia GTX 280M but new ATI mobility chips are due out soon. For all the bells and whistles here is one from Falcon Northwest starting at about $4500 http://www.falcon-nw.com/
that is pretty top of the line right now and would run everything on max without any trouble
I would not recommend the Alienware lappys myself.
If you prefer to stay with a chip like the 4570 I would reccomend http://system76.com/product_info.php...roducts_id=101 System 76 makes laptops that are loaded with Ubuntu, not windows but you could easily dual boot that. They have absolutely great, very solid builds and the best customer service in the world. I am pretty sure they ship to Canada now.
Hmm, while those laptops look nice. ibuypower.com is american only and doesn't ship to canada sadly. But running STO on max really takes that much power? I had no idea. Wow, I think I should stick to my original plan and just enjoy the game with what I can get with my budget. Hehehe. Thanks!
