Thanks SO MUCH for all your support, and we'll see you in-game!
Rumors abound and uncertainty is driving inappropriate behavior. There are different reports from different fleets. Even seasoned veterans from CB/OB seem to be unable to come to a rational consensus.
Is there a max cap or maximum number of players or characters that are allowed in a fleet?
If so, what is the cap? and why does a cap exist?
The background to this question stems from "alts." The fleet interface should allow members to flag and display "main" characters from "alts" and any fleet population capacity should be based on "account" and not "character."
It violates the social premise of "guilds" if the membership must distribute themselves across "main fleets" and "alt fleets."
Open channels are a possible but not a viable alternative for mature management of fleets. Already, open channels permit cross-talk between factions (bad IMHO).
I believe it's 250, we've made a rule of no alts because we're getting close to that number. So if you were to hit that cap or have a Klingon division we've created a channel that all of us can be in so no one is left out.

Yup. There was an official post somewhere to the 250 cap.
