Instead of making the medals the same they should have an exchange system. Where you can turn in for example 100 of the first medals for 25-50 of the next rank up medals. This way you arnt getting huge bonuses for doing low level pvp (being able to save all those stuff for fast high end gear) but you also arnt wasting your time doing it.
I agree the Klingon stuff is way too complicated and way too hard to get the stuff you need/want, especially since we have no PVE loot dropping worth keeping, no mission loot, nothing but engineer bridge officer rewards.
We should get enough medals to get most of what we need by half way through a tier, and should be able to save up for loot for the next tier, or get loot drops for the next tier earlier. Feds can get loot for the next tier simply from PVE drops and fleet actions. WE can't. Our fleet actions suck and don't give out anything but batteries for 40 minutes of fighting.
Just an update by Lt. 5 the reward for completing the Kahless (3 x 10) mission drops from 309 to 207 (iirc) the honor also drops, but I do not remember by how much. I'll update when I'm back in game and can check these numbers.
Agreed to OP as it stands there is very little benfit to wasting time to get the low end badges the equipment they buy isn't worth the time and will be left on an old ship. Given the speed people can level I suspect in a few weeks everyone will be admiral and grinding level 5 badges.
Currently making a round in Kahless, playing a PvP during the 6min waittime, next Kahless round, ... works out best from money/honour/badge relation.
I just got annoyed that I have the tier1 Kahless quest on 2/3, without the ability to finish it because I leveled to Ltd.Cmdr meanwhile. Seems I have to drop it so close before the reward (and 100 level1 badges left, with which you can buy nothing!)
And that Kahless is also the way to level at tier2, but only dropping tier1 stuff.
Uh, really? You cannot repeat the pvp specific quests they give you? I've repeated them multiple times as lt but never tried as lt commander.
I agree though. I hate having badges that are practically worthless.
