A bug that involved Romulan Liberated Borg captains and their skills once they chose an ally
Anyone having the issue where they just can't load into sol after completing the tutorial, I had no issue in beta. I have tried reloading in several times with no luck. Any suggestions that I could do to possibly fix it would be appreciated.
I had exactly the same problem, and you're not going to like the solution.
Short Version : delete your install and re-download the client.
Long Version :
Essentially I had two installs of the game, one from a play.com pre-order that I cancelled, and one from the steam one I kept. When I hit this problem yesterday [with the play.com client] just after doing the intro mission, when first docking at earth. A ctrl-alt-tab and then bringing up task manager look showed a dialog indicated some kind of file load problem.
So I ditched the play.com version and went to steam, which , for reasons only mentally disadvantaged know, it decided to re-download the ENTIRE client (which took 5 hours, after which the login server had been crashed by the yanks). But when I finally got in this morning it worked fine.
