Really, it is getting annoying. When doing a Fleet Action, all I see is my whole screen filled with dozens of "Photon Mine" and "Quantum Mine" text. I don't even care so much if they are overpowered or not, but could we please have an option to turn of the names and targeting recticles for friendly mines?

it is bothersome, also is quite a mess tab targeting through a field of 30 mines trying to select enemy.

Seriously QQ more please if you are crying because you cant tab target or your screen gets full of letters do these two things plesae

1) Learn to target properly using your mouse!!

2) go buy a better/bigger monitor

Concur with the op suggestion...its annoying and not just from the tab target aspect. I wouldn't worry about the mines for now tho...they'll nerf them quickly enough by either making damage smaller or by decreasing mine count again or increasing the timer.

Maybe a button to target SHIPS instead of using TAB? How would that be?

Only one half of the problem is the targetting. Even if I could perfectly target whatever I want, there is still a screen filled with "Photon Mine" text all over...

I'm a fan of mines on my cruiser but TBH I think the CD should be increased.

Incidentally Fire at Will if it's working as intended is ideal for mines. Too bad it isn't atm.

This thread isn't about how good they are as a weapon, but simply about the incredible screem cluttering and targetting issues they provoke.

I've started using right-click to target ships where I can see them since using Tab is so awkward.
