Im sure this has all been hashed out but here goes...

I didn't play PvP or Klingon in OB, just started since I can't play CT. It seems to me that 1) I get pwned in PvP, ecspecially ground and 2) I can't upgrade any items because the venders sell items worse than what I started with. Is this all accurate?

100% accurate
However they have claimed to be improving things for the Klingon races and pvp situation.
If its anything like the shiny new servers they also claimed to have it means it'll be a while.

1v1 in space in t1 you should wipe floor with feds

i never realy tried ground combat, just running around on planet loots ugly enough for me

Does it get worse at T2? I pummeled a Mirianda 1v1 and could'nt break it's shields... At least it was an honorable death.

With high yield torpedoes things die; without this is a very slow game. Get your officers fully skilled up as soon as possible.

Personally I enjoy space combat, I find it competitive enough to keep me coming back.
What I have done in ground....well, it has me reaching for the stars again.
Being locked in an endless stun until they riddle down my hp w/o any opportunity to return fire is not something I will be looking to repeat anytime soon.

Stun lock? I'm not alive that long... 1 hit killed many times. There's no where to get better items than the ones I started with?

you can buy at vendor somewhere in the fortress

- ground combat - don't even bother. federation gets epics, we get greens.
- klingons don't get an upgrade-system, sorry
- the only way to upgrade items is to pvp or farm kahless
- in space, in tier2, everything gets much much harder to kill
