Personally, I'd rather get into a queue than just be booted. At least then you know you'll eventually get in.

Lots of games have ques they only show up when alot of people are playing them all at the same time. WoW had 30 minute ques. Even with the ques when world pvp would happen entire continents would crash.

This game has a complicated server system with 1 virtual machine for every 50 or so people so with 250k concurrent users that makes 5,000 virtual machines. It takes them 2 hours just to restart them all. So yes a que is a great idea if it leads to fewer crashes. And they arn't the first to do it.

It has existed since long time agao and have seen it in a couple of MMO's.

But the point is not there, obviously they went wrong somewhere here, Creating a game based on a single server and not be ready for a high influx or a large number of concurrent players is short sighted.

I sure hope this is not a marketing ploy to create Hype thought.

**** had absolutely horrific queues at launch.... 2-3 hour waiting times. To make matters worse, the queue had a LIMIT, so you had to spam press login until you finally got into the queue...

I didnt launch with wow, But I did launch with LOTRO, vanguard, ***, warhammer, Darkfall and champions.... The only game that had queues on launch was darkfall.

This is epically sad. Hour plus wait to get in on headstart.... you will not be able to play on launch.

Cryptic has failed yet again.

***@ launch everyone is on private instance anyway so no need to queue.
Vanguard had more tumbleweeds than players.
Darfail.Same but they made the tumbleweeds queue with players.
Champions.Same
Warhammer- had lots of queues http://i274.photobucket.com/albums/j...s/smagpic2.jpg on lots of servers until people found out how badly mythic killed the IP

TBH id rather wait and find lots of folk ingame than get in right away to find just an echo for company.
