atm the best things to do as Klingon is,

-1- Mix Kahless and PvP: Do one Kahless and when its on cooldown for 5-6mins do PvP 5vs5 space one time.
Fixes our honor problem and you gear up faster as you can buy 50% of your gear from homeworld with exploration badges and 50% with PvP badges from eta eridani starbase (the closest planet when you go there dont remember the name).

Tried something new last night.

I kept getting stun locked by feds time and time again. So I thought buy a stun phaser as my secondary weapon and replaced the batleth.

WOW what a difference. I stun the fed lead attacker, throw a heal on his target and then watch the feds die.

Sure my DPS went down, but due to heals I get good skill points.

Moral of the story. Science should take stun phasers as secondary weapons. Engineers are optional, and Tactical can take batleths. Support the tactical officers and eat the feds alive. Oh and group up of course.

I always use my stun pistol in pugs, and I'm tactical. It's just too useful. When you spawn near the zerg and they start chasing you, you can backpedal, stun the lead chaser and keep running, repeating periodically if necessary. It has a long range and a chance to expose. It can save your teammate's bacon, as well as your own, by stunning some enemy that was running over for a killshot.

In a more organized group I'll sometimes swap in the wide angle phaser pistol, the dual pistols or a bat'leth but in truth the bat'leth is just for fun. Between palm strike spam, rifle melee spam and that pulsed PBAE knockback some people have (lifetime bonus reward?), using a bat'leth is just impractical.

Fun sometimes, but impractical.

How to PvP as a Klingon!?

I spend the last 15h PvPing as Commande Rank in an Escort and came to the following few conclusions. I will be Using the foreposters FAQ a bit

First of all you have to take a catchy name: FedKillerExpress or similar is sure to mark yourself as the first taget but who cares, who stays in the back, gets in the back right?

Quote>
"At the VERY minimum, crank up your weapon power to max and get close before uncloaking with your buddies. Pick someone and blow them to smoke."
That is so true but don't forget to use heavy dual cannons so that while ure still decloaking, your foe will be either dead or drifting. If you do it right, he wont see you on his scanners, wont see where you are ... all he will is see the dmg of the dieng shields until he is dead.
-> If thats not a bug then I dont know what is it takes sometimes 6 seconds before I see the Klingon but that most of the time is after i am blown away.

Quote>
"The KDF side has lighter ships that have cloaking ability and greater maneuverability."
Those ships are so light that it takes 2 Feds to get your shields down to 50% before they die. And ya, the last 25% been their explosive damage you went through. Remind yourself to not hit those explosions.
I used MK6 dual heavy cannons on a Tier 3 Klingon ship, Weapon setting 115, klingon was camping so full of energy. I used Beta and Omega 2/3 pattern, fire on my mark, rapid fire 1, imp Torps 1 9/9 by the time my Mk3 (with +20% anti disrupter) front shields been down the klingon lost O.O 4% shields. I was dead before rapid fire 1 was off and yes ... my explosion in him did more dmg then my assault on him.

I feel like doing it similar to the russians in WW2. Using a granate and a persons life to take out a tank but here that wont work ... as even my exploding Akira wont scatch a scar in that undieng Klingon Mak 4 Shield ... yes it was a Mark 4 as he told me afterwards. Is the balancing here tha a Klingon Shield is 5 times more powefull then a fed one ? A Klingon ship can nuke any of my shields even with a setting of 105 on my shields in under 4 seconds. Pretty much a unbuffed plain attack will do it. But a fully buffed one from us wont even scratch them ... gief me a working granate so I can have some retaliation today.

That pretty much conculdes:
If your a Klingon, go alone or in a 3 man team and take out Feds by the numbers. All you need is Shild transfer on each friend and the rest is all power to the weapons.
If your a Fed, you need 1 or 2 healers for yourself and the advantage by numbers.
Dont try ... its rarly possible to take out a Klingon 1 on 1 ... he has to be a complete moron to die by your hands.

Regards... *memo to self its about dam time to reroll*

Tip for Feds:
You don't have to use your starter beam weapons. You have Klingon permission to equip your ships with the exact same plasma cannons we use. (In fact, you should be able to get them more easily via auction house trading and PvE loot drops. Klingons have to purchase their gear by earning PvP medals.)

You mean : [Tetryon Dual Cannons Mk VI] and [Plasma Dual Heavy Cannons Mk VI] and those here [Disruptor Turret Mk VI] ?
Yah I use them, but the KDF shield that goes down in 4 seconds even with 9/9 Rapid Fire 1 I have yet to see.

PS.: thats not really a ohh pls nerf, more like: make it reasonable in terms of balancing.
But there is lots to do in the game as of now so ya its not that high on prio ... that i can be admiral in 2 weeks ya thats to be fixed or other things that should be a long term goal. That you can rather do PvP to level instead of doing PvE ... not saying klingons have no choice ...

It's called resistance buffs and shield dmg reduction buffs. Those that provide shield damage reduction are also drastically increasing shield regen for the short time they last, like 30 sec or so. Those that provide resistance boosts, to all damage or all energy damage are also repairing the hull of any bleedthrough damage. these also last 15-30 seconds. Then there's Reverse shield Polarity that makes your energy attacks (cannon and beam shots of all types) heal the shield instead of damaging it.

A BoP or Fed Cruise can both have at least 1 engineer and 1 science officer that provide these heal/buffs. Many of which can be applied to yourself or your ally. Just as firing your weapons when you have an ally selected will switch you to their target, using a heal/buff that works on allies as well as yourself will switch from your target to your ally that your target was firing on. So for example if everyone that was shooting at you had Science Teams 1 and used it, they'd automatically shift to your target to apply that shield heal and shield damage reduction buff to them.

So in the future when you see your target surviving a lot of damage, or you're having trouble breaking their shields, look at the little icons under the target id box top center of your screen. Green border = buff orange border = debuff. You can even mouse-over them to see what buffs/debuffs they are.
