Well, I'm not going to get in to a long discussion on the Mayan view of time, but even if this misunderstanding of Mayan time-keeping were correct, I'd still break even with a discounted year (X2) subscriber on February 2, 2012.

That's a good one. Actually if we all believed the Mayan Calendar myth we would all run out right now and get the largest 30 year loan we could possible qualify for, quit our jobs and live like Britney and Paris for the duration.

LOL This was worth reading this thread all the way though. I honestly think there are enough fans out there to keep this game going for a long long time. My lifetime sub will pay for it's self many times over.

I've seen worse launches, much worse. Also the game has not even officially launched yet. Champions had similar issues at launch and Cryptic sorted those out fairly quick.

Did they sort the problem out, or is it because CO lost players fairly quick?

They sorted it within a few weeks, and the game had a lot of subscribers at that point. It was a great deal better within a couple of weeks of launch, while everyone was on their initial 30 day period. So it wasn't a drop in players that fixed the problem.

So the server is down and all anyone can do is create yet another thread bashing life-subs.

This is still preferable than pugging with 9-24 people for 4 or more hours in the same instance for marginally better gear that's going to be outdated in a month or two anyway.

Ok, so I heard the complaints in the other thread, and I suspect the rest of the Lifers like me have found another reason to love our decision

Yup, they bet blizzard they could get 800 trekkies to stand in a row, not only that but some of them would pay 300 bucks a pop for their place in line.
