Speaking as a Klink BoP pilot, I just love to see Fed escorts that run regen shields. It's great that so many Fed pilots are doing their part to help me increase my kill count during PvP.

It's much appreciated, thanks.

all the shields work well, it all depends on your play style and such though.

If you never put power into shields then regen are completely useless. Where as if your constantly running at 125 shields covariants are a waste.

Well let's start by thinking. I know it's hard for some people, but lets look at the situation for PvP shield choice.

1) Escorts have, by design, the squishiest shields compared to the other Fed ships.
2) Escort energy allocation should prioritize dps and speed/maneuverability.
3) Escorts are primary targets for Klinks, and will be targeted first before any other ships.
4) Klinks rely on quick burst damage for kills.

So knowing those facts, you get to choose between:

A) Shields that have less strength but more regen (protect best against low-dps sustained damage)
B) Shields that have higher strength and less regen (protect against high-dps burst damage)

Which do you choose?

So keep on loading those regen shields, Fed escort pilots. You just keep making my job that much easier. And for that, I salute you.

I guess you just fight noobs.

All the Fed escort players I PVP with use covariant/resilient prefix shields.

/me points to two previous Fed posters stating regen shields are the better way to go.

Notice how I never stated that I run regen in PvP? I use regen in PvE. PVP I usually run Resil.

Agreed... in PVE regen is the way to go. High CAP is a must in PVP so you just switch depending on the need.
