Struggling for 1000 credits ? After a few missions I had enough items in my inventory to sell at the spacedock for 5k at least, if not more. I sell a lot of the batteries I get since Im not using them as much, and any equipment I dont need.

Allow me to clarify. Escorts = High damage output class. Fleet actions give a blue rarity reward _every_ time to whoever has the highest score based solely on damage dealt. #2-5 or so get a green.

The loot is then sold. Escorts keep doing fleet actions and usually getting top prize because nothing can keep up with the damage output they dish. Since there is no penalty for dying, they can just do as much damage as possible before blowing up and doing it again.

Support classes and healers are useless as is with no DP, so basically DPS gets all the glory and can farm for obscene amounts of money.

The biggest case is the Crystalline Entity. When you get to it, you'll see what I mean. It won't last more than 15 seconds. You'll literally see Escorts sitting in there waiting for the timer to reset over...and over so that they can get a blue mk iv item every 5 minutes.

Imagine how much I'd have if I was a fed character who doesn't need to deck himself out in white vendor gear on every new tear because he has lots of quest rewards handy, and who will get loot to sell on a regular basis.

I don't think money is ever going to be a problem in this game.

Well that sounds stupid. Their dmg meter should reset to zero if they get killed.

Or rather, it shouldn't be a damage meter, but a point system based off of damage done, damage taken, healing, and the number of times you've died.

A MARK III!

I didn't think anyone would actually buy it. Hot dang. I guess someone wanted it just for the sake of having it. Probably an escort farmer >_>

Although I'm not as shocked by that as I was for getting an ultra rare in the first place.Luck and me usually don't go hand in hand.

Anyone else see any purples here or there?

Edit: If you ever see a pickup buoy that looks slightly bigger/different from the typical ones...DO NOT IGNORE IT!
There are no cash sinks in this game. Wont be long before greens go for this price

Well yes, I was just simplifying. I think it should just reset when you die though. That will satisfy the death penalty happy people.

Yeah its really bad and needs to be fixed badle. I was in a fleet encounter during OB where 90% of the ppl in the encounter were sitting on where the Dreadnaught spawns while the rest of us (who didnt even know they were in there) did all the requirements to make it spawn. Then when it did, they killed it in .3 sec, and none of the rest of us had ANTY shot at whatever it drops.
In addition to this problem is the AFKing.
Near the end of OB, I was seeing more ppl sitting at the entrance to encounters afk, waiting to collect their reawrds by the ppl actually doing the encounter than were even doing it at all.

This is why the exchange itself needs to be a cash sink.

Charge a listing fee to list an item (% of asking price)
Charge a daily maintenance fee (% of asking price) to keep it listed.
If the player runs out of credits to pay the maintenance fee, the item is sold to the NPC vendor for market prices.

This would prevent people from putting things up for ridiculous amounts without thinking about the costs first.
