Since STO does not have the ability to support a "role play" server at this time, is there a chat channel (or channels) dedicated to role playing?

I was thinking a chat channel called subspace or FedCom or some other name, would be nice if created for and by role players. The general chat channels are fiull of flamers and otherwise, non-role play chatter.

Has someone created a role play channel?

Anyone interested in something like that? one or more for both klingon and federation perhaps?

If this has already happened, please let me know where the post is or the channel name(s).

There is a chat channel already called roleplayers and people are using Quark's Bar in Deep Space 9 to meet up and be social.

I'm not sure it is wise to give Chat Chat's own channel...even for roleplay.

Yeah, I am getting alarm bells there too. Then again it might end up awesome like Weird Al's TV channel from UHF.
