Hi everyone, I just got my sto limited edition copy @ gamestop. Inside of course lies the game disc and a new product key. I was wondering if I need to use the disc (since i've been playing headstart directly from my pc)? Also if I input the new product key, does it erase the character that I have now (in headstart)?

Thanx everyone!!!

No you don't need to use the disc, the headstart client will be fine. You do need to put in your product key, and it will not erase your characters.

Make sure when you put in your product key, you are logged into the website with the account you used in headstart that have the characters you want to keep playing!

Almost all MMO's make you put in billing information in order to play. You won't be billed until the end of your paid time, whether that's the free 30 days, or in your case the end of one year.

You can put in your information, let it create your account, and then immediatly go back in and hit cancel. You'll still have your 1 year to play, but at the end of that time it won't automatically renew.
