During the beta I noticed my play style seemed to have the philosophy "Damn the torpedoes! Full speed ahead!".

So I called my light cruiser the USS Farragut and the regular cruiser the USS Mobile Bay.

I named mine a nonsensical word.

Yes, really.

Why? Because names aren't unique. That's right, only your account name is. So anyone can name their ship Mobile Bay still. A nonsensical name will end up being less used and more unique than something more known.

My ship is named after my favorite Urban Fantasy/Pulp Detective, Harry Dresden, Wizard - PI, as created and written by the esteemed Jim Butcher.

Basically, Harry Dresden is a magic using Private Investigator that spends so much time getting beat to a pulp that he carries around his medical records (entire case history) to speed up the treatment process at Hospitals. All that pain, all that suffering YET HE JUST DOESN'T QUIT. Ever!

I wanted my STO Starship to reflect the same tried and true principles of Harry.

if I get knocked out (Borg Beta Event, First time I got gakked at SB24, etc...) I get up again, and I try another attack/angle/response... Never Give Up! Never Surrender! I'm in FRAKING StarFleet now!
