Why am I only able to create federation charecters?

Why cant I start off as a Klingon?

I thought the klingons were a playable race as in SHIPS too!?????

Yeah, I know it's stupid. You have to play through all the fed pve, till you complete a level 5/6 mission. It's to make up for the fact, klingons don't have any pve lol.

also, after you play your fed to unlock them

your klingon starts at level 6 to make up for it

the mission is called stop the signal and its available at level 4 (if you have done the prerequisite mission)

the missions you have to to to get stop the signal are somwhere around here too.

It took me about 5 hours the first time to unlock klingons and 2 hours at launch to unlock them.

OR get to level 6 that will unlock it without doing the mission

Actually, at headstart, I ran through the mission at level 5, and still then it wasn't unlocked. I had to get to level 6 and spend the points for it before it unlocked.

You can start as a Klingon once you get a fed to Lt 6 You won't need any lube for your Klingon till Lt Cmdr 1.
