# 1 So how's the game so far?

I was really disappointed with OB, but for some reason the second time around I love the game! Sure it's a little on the easy side, and I feel bad about attacking Klingons when I'm fighting to unlock them so I can join them, but so far it's a really good game! Thoughts, reflections anyone? What's your favorite part of the game? What could be improved?

For me my favorite part is definitely space combat. There's just something about it I really like. Adjusting power levels, managing impulse, and using BO abilities in addition to firing weapons makes it interesting and fun. Ground combat is pretty fun as well, but sometimes with my personal shield, shiny armor and computer voice that talks into my ear, I feel like a walking spaceship. Also, it's easy to avoid dying. Just roll backwards, keep sniping, and use leg sweep or grenades if you get in trouble. Still, it's pretty fun. Keep improving, Cryptic, and keep up the good work!

Also if anyone happens to know the location of my fleet, the House of Rotar, previously known as the House of Duras and then the House of Kos'karii, please tell them I really want to join. I've been cut off from them since the old threads went down and the mail service has been down, and they haven't accepted my application to their website yet. Qapla'!

I'm enjoying the game thus far. It gets a little repetitive fighting in space or the ground but I guess the game does its best to shake it up every now and then by mixing it up. Though I will say the variety of missions bother me. It seems to me a lot of "Blow up 5 squadrons of X" for every space battle, which I suppose makes sense. But I would like to see a space mission that involves more exploration.

Ground missions though seem like they've put more effort into variety. Though it seems like there's only 2 variants, "kill every x" or "scan/access Y" which again bothers me. Maybe I broke it down a little generally, but I would like to try making first contact with a warp capable species or something of that nature. I mean even a ground escort mission would be a good way to improve the ground missions. But again, since it's only been about a week since they've released Star Trek online, I have a relatively high tolerance for these things.

And I do agree Klingons should be open when opening the game. Not that I feel bad about killing them, but I think it severely cuts back on the Klingon population. I mean, most people I think are going to continue leveling their Federation characters at that point.

There's a few other things I would like to see in general about the game, like passive abilities for Bridge Officers but I guess I can talk about that someplace else.

Closed beta/OB gave me huge reservations on pre-ordering. Then, after some patch near the end of open beta, I saw changes that made me want to order. Haven't regretted it so far.

I agree. I'm really into my character as I've invested some time so far, and I almost just want to keep playing him. But the warrior's call keeps me loyal to the Empire.
