i sold quite a few things as well, but i severely under cut a lot of those that sell at outrageous prices i look at what the replicator pays for them and set prices a little above that. i think a reasonable price not 50k for a tribble and yes i saw some selling one that high and even saw a white mk II counsel that boosts aux power for 100k.

the people selling for ridiculous prices are one of two things in my book.

1. gold farmer
2, and idiot!!

as you can still make money for what ever you or want with out selling stuff in needed money in this game is very easy to get quickly. so if its something some one can use why charge an outrageous price for low level stuff. dont you realize it stuff like this that feed an possibly started this whole mess with golf farmers and mmo's. price stuff so high the average joe in game can't afford. may force hime to buy in game money from the gold farmer to buy equipment. this is the wrong way to fight them. and thats why i will not sell items that high myself ever.

I sold a boat load of tribbles. If I need more, I'll just feed the single one I kept. HA!

I usually sell at just above what the replicator will give me and under the lowest price in exchange. I then buy the ones that are under the replicator price and sell them to the replicator

I'd sell more tribbles if i'd stop getting rubbish ones. :/

I've got two at this point that are worth anything, to be honest, and I'm not even sure I'd price those over 4k a shot (+Regeneration and +Damage).

...Though, perhaps I could start selling the standard ones for 50 energy a shot. I mean, they're self-starters. You're not just buying one tribble, you're buying a TON!

I usually post what I'd get at the vendor (if its really "meh") or the price the item specifies its worth. for green stuff im not using i usually add 500 - 1500 on top of that considering how useful it is and for blues i add maybe 1 k - 4 k depending on usefulness.

I sell ALOT of sutff this way 20+ items today and even more yesterday. most people know what they are looking for and filter down and this lessons the clutter quite a bit and your price stands out much much more, it also helps the in game economy because the people posting for 150k for something im selling for 5k arent moving their stuff at all they will eventually sell to a vendor or lower their prices.

someone was willing to pay for it. hate the idiots that farm for hours to pay the outrageous prices... not the people selling them.

I've attempted a few time to sell on the exchange, but have never had any luck with it.

Example: Impulse Engines MK 1 valued at 2500, sell at broker at 1250, I'd try to sell at 1500.

Thought I'd try to make at least a few dollars instead of the 1/2 rate sell option - but after three days no bites so I just pulled the items off and sold them.

--

On another note: everytime I look at buying on the exchange - I see nothing. There's never anything for sale. Tried all setting, selecting specific areas, tried searching... nothing. So now I don't bother even stopping there.

For those though where it seems to work for you, thats cool

EDIT: had the wrong sell price - sorry

Sold two items for 15,000 a piece last night. I adjust price by labeled value. I mark everything up 15% - 200% (depending on rarity and type) of what I would get selling to a vendor. They buy it so I sell it.

I sold a Hypo for 80,000 credits.

Of course it was to myself so that my Joined Trill could start off with a bit extra.

Valid point. When i look at some of the loots in my bank, I move what i will never use to the fleet bank, and when nobody claims it, I have been tempted to put it on the exchange. I can't see myself selling anything for more than 20k, since I really haven't seen much of a need for credits (unless i am missing something)

I know that the prices will get so out of hand eventually that it will border on ridiculous, it's inevitable, but I implore you all to try and delay that day as much as possible.
