How can I change it again without buying a new escort for 20.000 bucks?

Hit K then 'Status' , should be an option at the bottom of the page to rename ship. Can't remember if it costs anything after the first time, or if you can only do it at a starbase.

You can rename it but it really costs you. You'd be better off to live with it until you reach the next tier.

It doesnt work under "Rename" - the option is greyed out (no matter if im in space or on the ground)

Click on the grayed out name and type to new one. I think it costs like 1000 merit to change it though, I messed up on Registration number and decided to leave it since it cost so much.

1000 merits? THATS a lot. 1000 credits - now I would pay that... but I´ll look into it, thanks

Yeah, I would have paid 1000 credits. I have around 40,000 and just dinged level 13 tonight. 1000 Merit is all I have right now though due to buying new skills for boffs.

It is greyed out for me as well. I've read that is costs 3000 merits to rename. Is this true or it is 1000?
