**** which was a totally new code and not based on code copied from other MMO had a smoother launch than this. Only problem they had was to few servers, when they fixed that it was all good.
And oh that logic about every MMO having problems at launch, am I totally wrong in assuming that companies learn from eachother and this is not the first MMO for cryptic so, they should know what to expect and be prepared, right? The whole logic about every company have had their problems is sound if every company was released at same time, MMO has grown, software has grown, hardware has grown, yet problems are the same...
That's exactly true about ****. It's only problem was too few servers and it was quickly resolved.
And I agree. I don't understand why people keep saying that every MMO starts out with these kinds of problems. Wasn't it Cryptic that said back when they obtained the rights to STO that they had the engine to "rapidly develop a stable product?"
