Ok, I thought Transphasic torpedoes pierced the shields and did normal damage to the hull once inside. I got me a MK VIII that does crap damage compared to the other launchers of its class but it pierces shields right so it should be ok.
So I fire a volley of 3 torpedoes through high-yield II, and they do around 300-400 damage per shot to the hull of a Galor as an example. If I bring the shields down first, then fire the torpedoes, they do the stated damage. Is this....normal?
